All members of the Giant Step team have worked for a number of years within the ICT industry, including at Microsoft and within the Microsoft partner channel.

Founded on experience

Caroline Egan is the founder and Managing Director of Giant Step Services Ltd. With over fifteen years' experience of developing and executing successful alliances and channel strategies in Europe, Caroline has identified best practices and methodologies that provide a firm basis for highly effective and executable partner models.

Caroline has held senior positions at a number of IT software vendors including: Microsoft UK; Arbor Software (Hyperion); Remedy and Informix. More recently, Caroline has held influential roles, within Microsoft UK, as Partner Manager and Industry Partner Lead for a number of priority business sectors including public, healthcare, retail and manufacturing. Caroline transformed Microsoft's partner strategy in each of these sectors, creating a highly effective and easily managed influence partner revenue model.

Associate Director, Paul McAdam has many years' experience evaluating, modelling, developing and building channel strategies. He has held a number of positions at Microsoft UK, including that of Group Manager for Channel Development. His responsibilities included determining and setting Microsoft's channel targets. He also sat on a global panel, helping Microsoft Corporation determine its recruitment strategy. With a strong network across the industry, Paul has worked with, advised and recruited partners of all backgrounds. Prior to working at Microsoft, Paul was an IT manager in the Pharmaceutical industry.

Associate Director, Carolyn Stokes has over 20 years of industry experience, including 16 years at Microsoft UK. Her roles have covered sales management, channel marketing, partner programmes and partner business development. She has been responsible for introducing high level partner programmes and partner business support services, as well as driving the Partner Expert Communities initiative within Microsoft UK. Latterly, Carolyn has been responsible for partner business development within vertical markets. She is a creative individual whose clear thinking and pragmatic approach to projects ensures successful execution and positive results. Carolyn is comfortable engaging at a senior level in all organisations. With her extensive experience and knowledge, she is regarded as a trusted and valued advisor.

Associate Director, Britt Measures is a results-driven technology marketing professional with over 15 years' B2B marketing experience across EMEA and US markets. She has held positions at a number of IT software vendors including IBM, Staffware, TIBCO and, more recently, as Alliances and Industry Marketing Manager at Respond Group (a privately owned UK software house acquired by CDC Software in February 2007). Her roles have covered alliances and channel marketing, industry marketing, customer marketing and marketing communications. Latterly, Britt has focused on delivering competitive advantage to software vendors by developing propositions and supporting marketing programmes that match solutions and services to key business, operational and technology drivers in the financial services industry.

Associate Director, Ellen Pirie has over 25 years' experience in the UK IT industry and has been successful in both sales and marketing roles within a number of organisations and across a variety of industry sectors. Ellen has particular experience in the UK public sector market. Until recently she was UK Government Marketing Manager for Microsoft UK and, before that, its head of Healthcare. She has also worked within the channel and partner business areas of Microsoft, Hewlett-Packard and Digital Equipment Company (DEC) where she developed and implemented successful joint or co-partner marketing programmes. Further experience, working for smaller software companies and a marketing agency, means that Ellen has seen the partner marketing relationship from a variety of perspectives.

Ellen is a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing and holds a Diploma in Management from Henley Management College. Her breadth of skills and experience means that Ellen can provide valued, strategic level support, to clients, whilst also being able to drive results by facilitating effective tactical engagement between Sales, Marketing and channel partners.
